There are a ton of tools that passive income business owners can use to promote their business especially on social media. One of my favorite tools however, is Tailwind. Not only is it pretty easy to use, but it helps you promote your business on my two favorite platforms, Pinterest and Instagram.

If you want to save time and effort in your business, there are certain tools that are just essential.

Pinterest

Initially, Tailwind was only used as a tool for posting to Pinterest. It allows you to schedule posts ahead of time so you don’t have to go over to Pinterest every single day to promote your products. Even back then, it was a highly useful tool. But since then, Pinterest has expanded it’s use so much.

Tailwind can provide useful insights on the pins you post through their platform. It can tell you how many re-pins and click-throughs you are getting so you know how many people are interested in your pins. You can also see which pins are performing the best so you an either make more pins that link to those products or make more products along those lines.

If you are selling on a platform like Zazzle where the product images are those squares created by Zazzle or even on Etsy where they recommend a certain sized image, you can use Tailwind to create optimal pin images for your products.

They now have a tool to design your pins right on their platform and then link those pins to your site. This allows you to easily make multiple pin images for the same product and then see which one has the most success.

Another great feature of Tailwind is Communities. This feature allows you to join together with other pinners who relate to your business in some way. Maybe you all make party planning products, maybe you all make products for kids or for staying organized.

Each person adds their own pins to the community and then shares the pins of others. This creates a reciprocal relationship where everyone’s pins are shared by more people and can get more reach.

Instagram

In addition to helping you post to Pinterest, Tailwind now provides some excellent services for your Instagram posting as well. First off is the insights you can gain on your account. On their platform you can easily view how your profile is doing overall as well as how individual posts are performing.

Similar to the Pinterest insights, you can see which kids of posts are performing the best so you can make more similar posts or more similar products. You may find that results vary across the two platforms. Some products or images may work better on Instagram while others work better on Pinterest. Having these insights can help you figure out what to post where.

Through Tailwind, you can also schedule your Instagram posts ahead of time. Based on whether you create content, sell products, or provide a service, they can help you create a posting schedule that isn’t just posting your products everyday, but helps you create a relationship with your customers.

It will help you mix up new product posts with inspiring posts, and education related to your product. So if you sell party products, one day you might post a product, another day you might post a quote about finding joy or celebrating the little things and the next day you might post a party planning tip. This is super helpful when you’re stressing about what to post today.

But, my absolute favorite tool that Tailwind provides for Instagram users is their Smart Bio. This is one of those link in bio pages that you can use to refer followers to links to different stores or products. Many of the link in bio tools just provide text buttons to the things you want to link to in your individual posts. This can get unwieldy.

Plus, it can be hard to figure out how exactly to label each button so customers know which product you are referring to.

In Smart Bio, you can link to webpages with an image. So if you post the image of a product in an Instagram post and you want to link to it, you just go to Tailwind Smart Bio and it will show you the images of all the posts on your Instagram profile. You just find the image of the product you want to link to and add the link there.

See below for how your Smart Bio page can look.

Tailwind is a totally awesome tool for anyone who wants to spend less time in their business but still get the word out to potential customers. If you want to get $15 off a membership with Tailwind, just click this link and sign up. It is probably my most essential tool for my business after graphic design software.

Cheers,

Emily
